Our service is incredibly simple and effective. Start a Freedom session, and you're blocked from all distractions on your phone or tablet. Freedom gives you peace and quiet, so you can accomplish more.
Freedom works by blocking the content on your device. When Freedom is running, your apps, email, and browsers will not connect to the internet. When your Freedom session ends, you reconnect and can check your new messages.
There are some things Freedom can't do. Freedom can't block phone calls or texts that come across cellular networks. No apps can do that. Freedom also can't prevent you from opening apps. Freedom prevents the apps from getting new content or distracting you with messages.

Let's dive into the tech a little more, shall we?
To use the Freedom app on your device, you'll need to allow the Freedom app to install a certificate and VPN profile. Don't worry, these are safe to install. Freedom uses a lightweight VPN to implement blocks. The only traffic that goes over that VPN is blocked - we can't see it. When Freedom isn't running all of your traffic is going over the regular internet.
When Freedom starts up, it checks your blocklist - which can take a few seconds. After that, your phone will be as fast as usual - just like browsing on your regular connection. And because only blocked traffic goes over the VPN, there’s virtually no impact on battery life.

It was really, really hard to build technology to do this, and when we first launched we didn't do a great job explaining what Freedom does and doesn't do. Please fix
I already setup the block then turned off my phone but i still get notifications from my social medias, then i turn my phone on and check, the app got inactive by itself. The same thing also happens when i click out of the app and go to other apps. Please fix!

Just what I needed to shut off all distractions to study for my finals. The premium purchase is also definitely worth the money. Best part is you can get this on your computer, tablet and phone.
Good but you need to create an account
It is a little confusing but you have to create an account to use it. Then it works well.
