Froggipedia, an engaging, interactive, powerful constructive learning Apple AR which helps explore and discover the unique life cycle and intricate anatomical details of a frog.
It is a sterling example of how AR technology has moved leaps and bounds.
The app provides an immersive and engaging experience which elaborates on each phase of the life cycle of a little amphibian called the frog.
Froggipedia helps us to observe the life cycle of a frog, such as how it turns from a single celled egg in water to a tadpole which in turn metamorphoses into a froglet and eventually a full grown frog. We can further dissect and observe the complex structure of its various organ systems right on our iOS devices using an Apple pencil or your finger.
Thus we get best of both worlds as we get to successfully observe and learn about the structure of a frog and yet cause no harm to life. A fun quiz in the end helps in absorbing the knowledge gained through this innovative app called Froggipedia.

Editors’ Notes

Explore in AR how incredible and interesting a frog can be. 🐸

helpful and interesting

i love herpetology and there’s no shortage of frogs in the world, so i decided i want to learn about the internal structures of a frog. this app does what it says it does, and provides useful information about the anatomy of a frog. admittedly, the contents are a little shallow, but i found the information provided to be useful. i look forward to future improvements of the app. a recommendation i do have is more information on each of the organs and how they function. this app won’t make you a frog expert but i definitely learned from it and i’m happy that i was able to see the inside of a frog without having to kill a real one. 🐸💚

Developer Response

Thank you so much! Glad you like Froggipedia! Stay tuned as Froggipedia is coming up with new features.

One quiz with One preset dissection

This description is very misleading. The app offers one quiz with eight preloaded organs to remove. The dissections are also preloaded and do not offer any variety—it is useful once and that is it. There is also no way to make mistakes while performing the point and click dissection. People learn from mistakes. The virtual frog is fun for two seconds and then pointless. There is also no pressure sensitivity, as was advertised. I will be requesting a refund.

Developer Response

Sorry that our app has not come up to your expectations. However, let it be known that the chief aim of our app is to give users a hands-on experience of dissecting the frog in precision, walk through its life cycle, and be conversant with its various systems in AR. We have tried our best to make it an immersive journey for users where learning comes easy.
As it is a guided dissection, it is assumed the user will not make any mistake. Nevertheless there does pop up a warning when the user cuts into the frog too hard using the Apple Pencil as a virtual scalpel and he has to reattempt the incision. We are also working on bringing more features to the app so please stay tuned.
