Seize Russia. Win the war.
The German Army needs YOU to command their forces into the most ambitious invasion plan ever imagined: invade Russia and lead the mighty Wehrmacht on towards Moscow.
The variety of maps and battle situations is what makes Frontline so different and engaging: you are confronted with blitzkriegs, trench wars and dog fights, but also unusual situation such as missions to capture an armoured convoy or recover important documents. You will also find yourself capturing strategic positions and destroying fortifications.
Your units will upgrade throughout the game, based on combat success and experience. This will prove to be an extremely powerful tool providing you with a personalized army that is created by your style of play.
12 battle scenarios: all inspired by historical missions and true-to-life war situations
Land, naval and aerial combat: all units have strengths and weaknesses encouraging different uses, which adds an extra strategic layer to the game. There are over 100 of them!
Unlock and upgrade: units will develop unique abilities based on the style of play. New units become available as you progress through the campaign
Maps are created to reflect the real terrain the German army had to fight over and plays a dramatic part in the gameplay
A unique visual style: Frontline looks different from any other strategy game you've played and it looks great!
What's New in Version 1.09
- Fixed bug with displaying unit numbers
Close is only good in horse shoes. Revised under NEW.
Great potential. The game took long to load and would not save well on my I-pad mini. The biggest problem was that it would simply hang and was unresponsive. You would then loose all of your progress in that battle which in Act II and Act III could be a lot of time wasted to start over.
You should be able to save your progress as you go so that you can start from the last save in case it crashes or hangs. I finally deleted it in frustration. Can't keep on wasting time. Perhaps on a higher level IPad it would not do this but I don't think I'll spend the $500 to find out.
NEW - I have an IPad Pro now and I have enjoyed playing this game. I bought the 2 additional campaigns and finished the game at the medium level. If you install it later to play again you can recover your in app purchases which is great. Like to see this more often.
The main problems have finally been resolved.
Too bad they seemed to have abandoned this engine. Prefer it to Panzer General which I also own.
This is a really good game with great graphics, then it has problems.
The battle for Lenningrad does not allow you to use reinforcements or even pull up the pull-up. Since there is no manual or tutorial you have no way of knowing where the problem is or if it's supposed to do that?
Slithering doesn't care
There was a small bug that didn't allow people to see unit strength. One would assume it's an easy fix. It's been a year since they fixed it. Don't buy. Company doesn't care about supporting games.
