Best strat game on the app store
Ive played alot of strategy games on the app store and this ones got me stuck let me tell you why first off you can actually work for unlocks maps soldiers new play modes and even credits, the Enemy AI is perfect and well designed they actually fight back, the customizations for each soldier and proficiency is great, maps are good for quick play, and crossfires help make the battles easier. The only changes i would make is make the AI play faster, maybe add items that explode like cars and weapon crates but only like 1 or two weapon crates you can blow they up or pick it up for a chance of cash or soldier atk and def upgrade for the map, more guns!! And add more skills to the proficiencies. Other than that keep the game the way it is just make it better!!! If you make a $4.99 version or however you wanna charge it add credits
I have the Mac version and as far as I can tell there is no difference between that and the iOS version. There does not seem to be any way to connect the team you are playing on the Mac version with the one on the iOS version, however.
I have only had a view times in which the iOS version got stuck and I had to quit the application. When I restarted however, I had not lost anything. I just had to restart the mission. I am sure they will work that bug out.
The game is fun, even if at times a little frustrating waiting for your guy to get his chance to move. Missions can be repetitive, but you need to understand how some of the functions work, like choosing a mission other than the one offered. So it is best to get on the forums.
Frontline Tactics. An excellent name for the strategy genre, but the game is more on the side of "wait for your turn to shoot" instead of "strategy". In one, you carefully plan out your mission and ways to avoid your targets with mild casualties, if possible. XCOM is a good example of this genre, but Frontline Tactics is... well, the waiting for your turn to shoot... The strategy in this game does not stand out as main tactic, but a combination of your mom saying "wait for your turn!" And then shooting your friend when he doesn't give you one. There is barely any story, other than bland fps storytelling. The troops that are NECESSARY for completing the game, are 5.99! I'd rather buy a, I don't know, candy bar or two with that much! This game gets a 5 out of 10 stars for being mediocre and not following the core mechanic.
