Poor customer service and no way to talk to anyone
I ordered first back in February. Didn't get any meals despite being charged heavily. For the next four weeks I counties to get charged full price with no meals being delivered. I contacted by email and a week and another charge later got a response and a partial refund. I cancelled at that time. Then I noticed I was getting charged weekly about $70 for no reason at all. Canceled through the app and on the website. Sent emails though the app and the website. To this date I haven't heard anything back. I continued to get charged weekly until I had my card canceled and replaced. Worst service ever. Over all the food was average at best and mediocre most of the time. The app looks cool but the menu is very restrictive based on how your macros work.
Awful, expensive and unhelpful. There's also no Facebook or twitter account to respond to either. They are completely hands off once they have your credit card number. Be careful.
Poor first experience
I have very much gotten the impression that Fuel is trying very hard. However contacting support has been so challenging. I get it, millenials don't like using phones so online chat and email is great. I know I hate using phones. HOWEVER, my problem would have been more easily cleared up in a phone conversation.
FedEx also messed up shipping (please only use UPS in the future) so food arrived late (blamed it on non-existent weather delays so the don't have to refund.) FedEx's failures are not Fuel's fault. Had they not happened I wouldn't need to be contacting customer service anyway.
The head of the company herself has contacted me via email to try to fix the issues. We're working on it.
As far as the app itself certain pages aren't working. Specifically: FAQ, heating instructions, etc. The shipping badge notifications don't go away after being viewed, and order updates don't appear to fully update (my first order still shows as being on its way).
I have high hopes, I presume this is all new. I want it all (the service and the app) to improve because I'd love a service like this to work for me. I hope to update my review when my issue with my original order is rectified and customer service and app problems are fixed.
Wish I never tried this scam!
If I could put 0 (or negative) stars for a rating that would still be to high for this scam of a service. Just like others here have said, I ordered one week and then tried to cancel. They continued to me for weeks on end without even bothering to send the food. Finally I got confirmation it was cancelled and a refund and then the next week a box of 5 of the same gross looking meal showed up and my card was charged again. Save yourself the major head and DO NOT use this service.
