Very Cool And Useful App

Very interesting app. I used to go inside Walmart to buy Walmart gift card and use it to get gas at Murphy gas station in order to get 3 cents discount per gallon. With this app I don’t have to go there anymore. I can save 5 cents per gallon just to download this app. And if you have one of Shells credit cards, you can save even more. I currently have Shells gas card, I save 30 cents a gallon in the form of a refund. Each time I fill up my gas tank and use this app and pay with Shells gas card, I get back around $3 refund. I think this will end after 6 times. After that, you save 10 cents per gallon (Read their terms when you apply for one of their credit cards) On top of all these savings, if you have T-mobile and use their T-mobile Tuesday app, you can save even more when there is a Shells offer is available. I have been enjoying it and I love it.
One obvious con by the way. Of course you can only use this app to get gas at Shells gas stations. But there is a useful feature in this app, it will show you the nearest Shells gas stations and the current gas prices for those gas stations (Boiler alerts: Not always correct. Once in awhile, I would find the prices on the app do not match with the gas prices at the pump)
Anyway, it’s a 5 star app. Give it a try. You will save in the long run. Enjoy!

BEWARE! Credit Card info stolen after putting it in this app!!!

UPDATE! I’ve had the same card number for years never had an issue. After putting my card and husbands in this app, BOTH cards were compromised!!! Fraudulent charges were made with three days of each other on each card. In addition to this, customer service NEVER responds. Apple should remove this app. After receiving the developer response I called the number and waited on hold for over 10 minutes. They stated in the response that they don’t store the CCV number. This was the only variable in both cases of our cards being stolen that was incorrect therefore the bank caught it and deactivated the cards immediately. Now I’m even more convinced this is how my card information was obtained.

I have consistently not received the rewards earned. When I called customer service they said it must be the store, except it is happening with all stores (grocery, hardware, farm stores). They told me to send in receipts. I’ve sent them now three times (bc’ing my two personal email accounts) and they never get them although they deliver everywhere else. So in summary, they are getting all my transaction history for my MasterCard (lots of free data for them!) but I’m not getting my end of the deal. If this isn’t resolved within the week I’m removing my cards and going elsewhere.

Developer Response ,

Hi Ree'lynn. We take data security extremely seriously. I have notified our security administrator of your concern. In addition, we have not had any breaches of any data we maintain. In addition, we do not collect or store CVV, which is required for most transactions. I attempted to find your information in our member database but was unsuccessful. If you would please contact our member support at support@fuelrewards.com or call 888-603-0473 and ask to speak with a supervisor, we can ensure that your issue is escalated and investigated by our advanced support team.

Almost Situational Savings

I wish I have used this sooner. I drive a 2009 Civic Si, and it needs 93 or better octane. I never use Arco or Costco gas because they are both crap, don’t listen to what others say! They are garbage, period.

Shell gasoline will get you better mileage, and you’ll never get denotation like you will with Arco and other budget fuels.

The only thing I don’t like about fuel is the pricing. They always have a higher price point for those who what to use card over cash. So, .05 cents off a gallon isn’t much of a deal when gas stations charge an extra .15 cents if you wanna use a credit card. Our credit cards give us travel and cash back rewards, so we do reap some benefits. But this football season the Los Angeles area gets .25 cents off every gallon on Sundays. So, I fill up on Sundays to take advantage of this. It’s big savings such as this that gives me better savings gas than if I were to use cash. #winning #beatingtheman
