Customer Reviews

Second rate app and service

I'll be blunt. If my daughter and I could watch our shows on Crunchyroll, we'd be done. I've held off on reviewing this because I wanted them to work out the kinks. Well, it's been long enough, and though it's a lot better, it's still very unstable. The user interface is not intuitive at all. What other widely used software requires you to "slice" down the center of the app? Sometimes, you can be too cute. But that's just a small thing. The search function is not very versatile at all. Far too rigid. Airplay doesn't work well. The app still doesn't prevent sleeping, that kills your airplay connection. The biggest gripe, however, is the predatory business practice of making paid subscribers pay for the app! That's a total rip off.

When the app is working it is very satisfying. Plays videos without buffering issues just fine; however, this app has worked flawlessly only once in the week that I've had it. There are numerous bugs that need to be fixed such as the fact that only the first 4 episodes of each anime is visible and it refuses to load more. As I've said it did it at least once so I know it's possible. The search bar is completely useless and the app has some performance issues. Overall the app is even more buggy than the website. When working this app is well worth it, however it currently is not.

I'm impressed

I have been looking for an easier way to watch anime and I thought what could be better than going straight to funimation. The app is wonderful, easy to use, and does accommodate to funimation elite subscribers by providing a full selection of episodes. I do have a minor problem with the app closing every time it tries to load more episodes in a list, but that is minor. I love this app and if you love anime, you will to.
