Very Disappointing app

Priscilla G

I was happy to see a commercial gallery jump into the app arena, but the Gagosian app is a misfire. Disappointed by all the sturm and drang without purpose. Lots of things that move, pan or twirl, but at the cost of clean intuitive interaction or access to depth of information.
Compare MoMA's app for their Abstract Expressionism exhibit to see what a more successful implementation can look like.
The Gagosian app crashes often, sometimes even on start up, and the 660Mb size is unacceptable. Quirky behavior when switching between portrait to landscape.
I applaud the gallery for trying, but suggest they find a different designer who doesn't try to dazzle them with glitz. The app is amateurish and not consistent with Gagosian's standing and quality.

Love this

Very creative use of the medium, and a lot of fun to browse through. I don't know if it's the recent upgrade, but I did get it to load properly and downloaded issue 3. It dazzled me, and I am not a follower of the art scene.

Try clicking in and out, or just leaving it to download for a while. YOu won't be sorry.

Better than being in the gallery

This app is simply amazing and a MUST HAVE for art lovers (and those curious about the art world and some of the more well know and lesser known artists). I just hope the MUSEUMS and other galleries take note of what an amazing job Gagosian is doing here...
