Conquering the Galaxy like never before! The sequel to Galcon brings FOUR innovative new games to you, in both Single AND Multi-Player form!
BILLIARDS :: "Moving Planets" - need I say more? With a constantly changing battlefield this game never has a dull moment.
STEALTH :: Enemy ships become invisible, changing Galcon into a game of inter-galactic hide and seek!
CRASH :: Ships battle in mid-flight, bringing a whole different twist to the classic gameplay. You can now defeat the enemy in the air!
ASSASSIN :: Each player is assigned a target. The first player to annihilate their target wins the round!
Galcon Labs includes real-time on-line multi-player action! Each mission has its own on-line leaderboard! Compete against thousands of other players to become the GRAND ADMIRAL!
What's New in Version 1.9.10
Galcon Labs now includes retina display support and multitasking support! I hope you enjoy it!
Multitasking works within the multiplayer game, so if you want to check your email once you are out of a round, you can! When you come back you'll still be on the same server.
I bought this solely for the multiplayer, as I have had the lite version for years. WHAT A WASTE. All the online is is a bunch of losers camping in constant standoffs. There's not enough planets in multiplayer to make it interesting at all -- there needs to be differing sizes too; having big home planets with a couple small ones is BORING. The worst strategy you can actually have is to actually attack planets because of the way it is designed. I would not recommend this purchase at all. The multiplayer is very slow-paced and boring. Playing the computer is much better and for that, just buy the free version. As a fan of Galcon for years, the developer needs to seriously fix the multiplayer.
Why couldn't they just add the new modes to the original game. Lame cash in.
It's a well-implemented node capture game. It isn't all that captivating, but it's ok for 30 seconds if you're bored. It doesn't keep me wanting to come back and play more, though.
One suggestion that I have would be to allow us to custom configure the difficulty settings. For example, I would like the option to play against an Admiral level AI, but retain visibility to the number of ships my enemy has on each planet. Currently I cannot do that.
