A Really Good Time!
This game was a lot of fun and is very addicting as another reviewer expressed, once you start playing it's hard to stop. I had no trouble finishing the levels within the time allotted as another reviewer expressed trouble doing. The key is to chain as many tasks as possible: water all plants at the same time, prune all plants at the same time, etc. Chaining helped me achieve an "expert" rating in almost every level. There are two difficulty levels of to choose from: Green Gardener & Harvester. Harvester is not available until you've completed all the levels in a given stage. Several upgrades are available to help you throughout the game, I found the auto-harvester (the robot hands) to be the most useful. Periodically, as well, you'll be given new pots to add to your growing area. Keep in mind that the larger pot the longer the soil takes to aerate resulting in a longer or shorter wait to plant seeds. The last stage of the game is the most challenging with plants losing their happiness very quickly and attacks from bugs laying waste to your plants very quickly in comparison to other levels. I found that the layout of your pots in this stage, especially in level 50 is key to passing this stage. Overall, lots of fun. I only wish the game had more levels.
crashes a lot, not enough time
I play a lot of time management games and am disappointed by this offering from PlayFirst. I expect higher standards from them. This game crashes a lot and so you constantly have to restart the game. The worst is that they do not give you enough time to complete the tasks - there is simply too much to do - especially if they are requiring roses, eggplant, oranges, tomatoes, AND the green plant. You can't stop the ants, put scarves on the oranges, get music to the roses, water the green plants twice, trim, etc before the time runs out and this is all within the first 10 levels. They will not allow you to put multi-automated upgrades together (one auto-robot per pot) and even with the green leaves, time just runs out. It's very frustrating.
Big Fan of PlayFirst, Inc. but ...
This version seems a little more unrealistic than all the others...not as fun to play. When I got stuck on the other "dash" games, I was always encouraged to keep going back because it was fun and challenging because I was close and I could tell it was possible. This version seems impossible to beat the clock.
