Great gardening app but needs some technical upgrades
I really love this app. As a vegetable gardener this app comes in handy and has a lot of useful basic features. Some people have already commented on useful upgrades but a cpuple of technical features have not yet been mentioned. I am really hoping for the following upgrades which i would be happy to pay for if necessary:
1. Export feature, at least for the journal, so that all the input information, including photos, could be transferred to my computer. This is pretty standard for other apps of this type.
2. When a photo is taken inside the app to add to the journal a copy should be saved to the library so that there is still access to it from outside the program.
3. Along those same lines, it would also be nice to be able to import a photo to the journal from the photo library.
Otherwise I just want to say what a really great info-packed app this is. Lots of great planting and care instructions for many garden veggies.
I would recommend it with the caveat that you cannot currently export any of your data which is really a shame.
Thanks for listening!
Love the concept
I wish there were more plants. Herbs as well. I would also like the ability to add my own plant or veggie and put my own dates in, such as annuals and perrinals. I would like to at least be able to use this set up to do all my gardening. The ability to edit and add my own stuff will make this a $5 app.
Edit. Thanks for the update. Ability to add my own is great. Keep adding more and more, even annuals and perrinalas and I think you got a $5 app easy. Keep it up.
2nd edit: I gave to say with each edit this app gets closer and closer to perfect. I'd say if u want to continue giving updates, add some more veggies and herbs. Maybe even link us to a place to discuss our gardens and ask questions. A forum of some type. In all honesty, this app can get better but it's a 5 star with a ranking of 99%. Keep it up devoloper.
Good for the price
Pretty good for just a buck. I like that many of the common veggies already have a lot of info in the system. Some improvements would be nice after using it for a couple of months... For the diary section, it would be great to have the option to get a photo from the library an also when taking a photo in the app, it should be saved to the app. I end up having to take pics twice or not have all the pics I would want in the app. Also would be nice to have a date we can assign in the to do list. For example, if I want to sow a certain seed in September, I could set it and all of my activities would appear in order...
