I used to love this game but some levels are just so hard to win and you have to keep playing it over and over again so the game gets booorring 😴. Don't want them to be super easy, but lets at least make them possible to beat. I'm at level 113 and have been playing it for 4 days... that's ludicrous. Also I hate having to pay stars to make phone calls then pay more to fix the repair. We shouldn't have to pay for the phone call to the repair person, just pay to fix what needs fixing. If they made the game a little more possible to beat on the higher levels and changed taking our stars for phone calls, I would absolutely give this game a 5 star rating. I did when I was a new player because I was lower levels and the most it took to beat a level was a day. Now sometimes I play the same level for over a WEEK!! RIDICULOUS. Makes me want to delete it but I have gotten so far it would be sad but like I said, it's starting to not be so fun anymore when your stuck trying to get 1 star for a week and you need 2-3 for a task.
So I give 2 & 1/2 stars now. Hopefully they will listen to people that have the same complaint and do something about it to make the game more enjoyable again. I really hope so cuz I miss when this game was fun.
Fun but come on guys...
I enjoy the storyline, the interaction with Austin, fixing up the garden, the choices for landscaping and the games. BUT I am getting frustrated that there are all these 3 star quests and some are 3 parts per quest. I'm at level 180 now. I haven't spent any money and I don't intend to. I saw another reviewer spent $60 in 2 weeks. And that is because the levels are extremely difficult so you spend avg 6-7 lives per level. Only to get 1 measly star. All that work for one star, which is never enough. Even making a phone call requires 2 stars, seriously?? And the on the 3rd garden, Austin breaks the fountain and I have to work to fix it. Then I thought we were almost done and then there's a 3 star, 3 part quest to change the fountain that I already called the Mason, hired the Mason, fixed the pump, fixed where Austin broke it, and now you require this huge change. I am excited to move on to the next area. This one is beaten like a dead horse!
So, developers, please please make the levels easier or award more stars for the difficulty. Make phone calls only 1 star. Multi part quests should not be 3 stars each part. And stop the unnecessary redo's.
The game in itself is great, refurbishing the old garden, solving a mystery, etc. The downside, as others have mentioned, the game is designed so you must buy lots and lots and lots of coins to succeed. Im not opposed to spending a little cash to play a free game, but I'm only in the third garden area and already tired of the endless need to invest to make anything happen, including answering the gate or making lemonade. The game doesn't need the additional challenge, so the only explanation is more kickbacks for the creators. I like a quest as much as anyone, and would probably go the duration with Austin, but not with such a constant need to spend my hard earned cash. I like a game to be relaxing, for vegging out after a long day. If it becomes an endless drain on my funds, I'm done. Sure a hundred dollars a customer is great, but if few can afford to finish the quest, few will ever fully experience all the true work of the creators...and you end up with a lot of dissatisfied customers leaving a lot of bad reviews. I would not recommend this game to anyone merely because of the cost.
