Gate Smart Lock 4+

The app itself is almost useless, the notifications are super slow and it constantly logs me out for no reason which has just become a nuisance at this point. Seems to always be WiFi connection issues and it’s supposed to notify you when to charge which it doesn’t do too bad at.

The product itself: I bought this because it packs all the features you could want into one device but should have waited for a second gen. First one I had broke within a few days and they sent me a new one free of charge. New one still works but sometime it doesn’t rotate all the way when unlocking. The video isn’t too bad, the motion video can not be turned off so it picks up a bunch of useless videos. Can’t speak to the other features as I don’t use them. It can take a while for new pins to be able to be used once added just a heads up, not an instant process.

The gate itself is great. The ability to assign individual pin’s is great. When it comes to media management it falls short. There is no way to select multiple files at once for deletion. Having to swipe left on every single file is tedious and time consuming. It’s would be great if you could select ranges of dates for deletion.

I’ve been using the Gate smart lock for a few months and it’s made my life much easier. Love the all-in-one solution. I’ve been using one on my vacation rental for a few months and it’s made my Airbnb reservations much easier with giving temp access to the guests. The camera is super useful. I think that’s a major advantage over other smart locks out there.
