Good, but not perfect
Nice game, but needs some improvements. First, the ability to get information on enemies, as many others have said, would be very useful. My idea is pausing the game, then touching and holding an enemy for a second or so to get its information. Also, poison and splash damage are virtually useless. TWO damage over FIVE SECONDS? ONE TENTH OF A TILE OF SPLASH DAMAGE? These, and possibly stun, need a serious power boost. Also, I have an idea to make gem bombing more automatic with things I call gem cannons. Basically, holding a gem over the battlefield for a second or so will change the icon from that for a gem bomb to that for a gem cannon, much like holding one gem over another to change the icon from swap to combine or vice versa. When you place a gem cannon, a cannon holding the gem will appear where you were holding the gem. Then, a textbox will appear where you are asked to input a number. When a cluster of enemies dense enough for a gem bomb's explosion to hit a number of enemies greater or equal to the number you entered appears, the cannon will fire its gem at the cluster and disappear. When the gem hits an enemy, it will then explode like a gem bomb. Much easier than manually dropping them, right?
Awesome game, but missing one hugely important thing!
This game has everything it needs to be an amazing game, but it suffers from a lack of information. Although they give quite a bit of information about the gems and such, I find it annoying that I know absolutely nothing about the creeps. And I find it terribly frustrating when I am playing endurance mode and I am doing just fine, but then one wave of creeps come and my towers do absolutely no damage at all and I have no idea why. How can i adequately set up my defenses if I have no idea why I can do no damage to certain waves of creeps!?!? This has almost caused me to quit playing this game altogether! Please publish a guide to the different types of creeps so we can plan our defense or fix this problem with the endurance mode (usually comes around wave 23 or so).
I like setting traps with mana tap, then having the monsters go over it, when they are banished I get lose like 30 mana but gain about 4000 back so I then send all the waves and crash my game :(
Also the idea of buffing gems isn't true. All gems are balanced, such as traps + poison. Poison is like 2 damage over 5 seconds, but in a trap it's like 20 damage over 5 seconds.
Creep info is just learning curve. Play the game more and you'll know the toughness of monsters go up exponentially.
I do hate how there are only 4 worlds, but it's fine since there is veteran mode and many of the modifiers.
:( GemCraft runs slow on my iPad, the devs really need to recode it to help with iOS10
