Good, needs improvement


I love being able to start my car from inside a building and have it cooled off when I get to it. Usually it works. Sometimes it doesn’t - like when I’ve forgotten to lock my car, but sometimes I don’t know why it didn’t.

My biggest complaint is that when you start it remotely, the blinkers blink until you get there. I’ve contacted them about this. They say it’s so you and others know your car is running. I say it’s a safety hazard - if I’m at the mall at night by myself, I shouldn’t have to advertise that I’m coming to my car. I can’t start my car in the early morning when I’m heading out, because I don’t want these very bright blinkers disturbing the neighbors who are still in bed. Also, I have people telling me about it all the time - “Your car’s blinking.” When I renewed the service over the phone, I mentioned this to the CSR. She says people tell her this all the time, but those who make decisions about this won’t budge. They could certainly make it an option that you can deselect, as they have with the defrost option.

As for the car’s status it shows, it’s often inaccurate. It will indicate that my car is running when it’s not, etc.

App is OK. Should be Great if it's from Genesis.

App works well for me and my G80. I've had no problems at all with the functionality of the app. The app layout IS cumbersome, the font is too small, and it's just too busy for an iPhone app. App looks like it was designed five years ago. Needs a refreshing update. A cleaner and more efficient design would be much better received. The genesis G80 is an AMAZING car, and the customer Service is second to none, however the Genesis app needs a huge overhaul to make it as sharp as the G80 is. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about when he says the services were expensive. I got three years of FREE service with my three-year lease!

iPhone works but Watch has bugs


Update- sync with calendar seems to be broken

I've been able to use the iPhone app without any real problems. Sometimes it is a little slow to connect but all the functions work. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the Apple Watch implementation. The status and location functions did not work at all! They constantly say refreshing until they ultimately timeout. As I said it works fine on the phone. It would be really nice if Genesis would recognize this bug and get it fixed but Genesis insists there are no problems with the Apple Watch app.

Anyone else get these functions working on their Apple Watch?
