A few limitations.
I never saw the earlier versions of this app that some refer to so can't compare. There are a few cumbersome features and one problem I have is remembering which features are available on the app and which require going to the website.
One thing I'd love on either or both app/website is the ability to search by Geocache name! I often research a cache while planning my team's next outing. I never remember the GC number but usually recall at least part of the name. As it is I either have to scroll down a list looking for the name or have to go to the map view and click on all the caches in the area until I find the right one.
Finally!
Ever since the new app was released a while back it has gotten slowly better with each update but the one thing that was really left to be desired for me were the attributes. Now that I finally have them I am willing to up my rating to 5 stars. I understand that there are some frustrations for most of the basic members out there (particularly the ones who paid money for the last app) but as I am a paying member those unfortunate changes don't affect me and therefore I will not reduce my rating because of it. The app is finally all that I want it to be!
This Version Needs Subscription
I love to do a random geocache with my family when out and about and to my surprise the original app had a pop up saying it was going to be non functional in march. So I decided to get the updated new app only to find that I need to pay monthly to use it. I paid $10 for the original app that lasted me years. I understand the need for more money to pay a developer to refresh and update an app. I would gladly pay another $10 for a new and improved version but the subscription price is just too high for the amount of geocaching we do. Good Bye Geocaching, It Was Nice While It Lasted.
