What's New in Version 3.1
Create and add your own Gettysburg locations with this new version. The new "Add Location" feature enables you to take a photo of your favorite spot on the Gettysburg battlefield, record the geo-location, and submit it for inclusion in the Gettysburg 150 database. There is also a new audio feature in this version.
I assumed that if this app used GPS it would tell you how to drive to each point of interest. But it just tells (with written info) how many feet away they are from your location. The voice is digital and tinny, and just reads the info displayed! Nothing more.
I hope the developers will take a suggestion to check out the Gypsy Tours, which is much more interesting. We downloaded the Hawaii tours and use them to circle the islands as they told interesting facts all along the route. They gave turn by turn driving tips and suggested stops we may find interesting. 🙁
Not what I expected
I was expecting an app that gave you an audio tour that matched with the official audio tour. But really it just has blurbs about the monuments in the park. The audio portion is just them reading what is written for each monument. There aren't any driving directions and the app is impossible to use while driving in the car because it's constantly updating the location which causes the app to switch which locations it shows.
