Fun, but Stagnant Development
I've found the game to be true to the spirit of the original movie and fun to play. There's humor and a good story (though the story is unfinished). There are definitely unresolved bugs that can be worked around. Like "Capture x (ghosts)" needing a particular difficulty level. "Hard" or "easy" is subjective, but it is an action game, not a turn-based puzzle. It's nowhere near the difficulty of serious games, but maybe harder than FarmVille.
My main gripe is that development went stagnant in July. After version 1.5, they went from monthly additions to zero. The story is left incomplete. I keep playing occasionally, but I now have $8.5 million saved, all 8 busters, all upgrades, all the research, and enough special equipment to put the best stuff in both slots for all 8 busters. I typically carry 4 damage dealers in my team now, and the hardest ghosts typically go down so fast they don't touch the team.
I really hope Beeline releases a version 1.6 to close out the story narrative. Then maybe they could release a sequel under a different revenue model, one that rewards them financially for keeping development going. If they finished the story in this one, I'd pay for a sequel. Otherwise, I doubt I'll buy anything from Beeline, for fear they'll abandon it before it's finished.
Support? I don't think so...
Well it happened that I was loving this game but then I got stuck in a bug that doesn't let me get slimes in the library, as a good player I contact the beeline support at the begging everything was great they ask for the crash log's and all and I gave to them, and they said they would send to their programmer team and thank me, the only thing that I asked in return it was that they will release an update to fix it because maybe someone is having the same problem...it passed almost a month and there is no sign of any update. Really ridiculous in the mail that the support send to me they could say "hey sorry for the bug but actually we don't care we just want to make the game unbalanced (as not only me but the other players say the same) to make people frustrated to maybe pay 20 usd to have the team of the movie?!?!?! Or the other in game purchases. "
I don't know if beeline is reading this probably not because with this amount of one Stars reviews and they didn't work at all trying to make thing better do I think that this review is going to warn future players who want to download this game...BE AWARE THAT THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT US PLAYERS SO DON'T SPEND REAL MONEY IN THE GAME NO MATTER WHAT DON'T SUPPORT THIS KIND OF COMPANIES THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT US.
Fun but the premium content...
The game is fun but the play isn't varied much. The ghosts are fun to see and the graphics are entertaining.
The play suffers greatly from two things.
First, playing on my iPhone, some of the ghosts come out in clusters thus creating the inability to target specific ghosts. It takes the tactic of getting the heavy hitters out of the way when you can only target a group and hope for the best.
Second, the premium content. It would seem you HAVE to have it to get further in the game. Even if you spend the time to level standard equipment you don't have a fighting chance. The premium content is also expensive. It's not five power cores here and ten there. Almost all of them are twenty-five cores. Keep in mind that unless you pay real cash for more cores you earn a max if two for every level of the tower you beat. You can only get to the tower by earning slime. You earn slime, again two at a time, by fighting a specific battle. That battle increases in difficulty until guess what...you need premium content to beat it.
