GIFMaker allows you to make your own animated GIFs and share them. You can take as many still images as you want and they will be put together into an animated GIF.
- Take as many frames as you want
- Preview and delete frames
- Share GIF via email or Tumblr
Just needs a cache
First, to anyone else looking at this app, it's free—it sometimes works for little quicky things, but it's still lacking.
That said, I haven't had the problems others seem to have with this starting, my problem is that it gets to the part where it is supposed to generate the GIF and, instead of showing it (if I hit preview) or sending it, the app crashed. If the app would just cache the current/most recent GIF (and/or the raw captured images) then crashing wouldn't be such an annoyance—but as it is, all of the captured stuff is lost.
Two other suggestions for the author, too: move the Tumblr login info settings somewhere other than just when you want to share (because if you don't set it & just want to email the generated file, the app crashes); as so many other people are requesting, importing existing photos to create the GIF would be very much appreciated.
The app hasn't crashed on me? But my phone is updated to the newest IOS. The speed slider is on backwards? You can't use your saved pix? No reverse camera option? Can't send as a text right from app?
But that's just knit picking! It works great! But would be better with more options...
The idea for this app is great. Create your own GIF! Cool.
the app is not very well made. It doesn't look like they put a lot of effort into this app. Plus, it takes a very long time to create a GIF.
I took about 6 or 7 pictures and tried to create a short GIF to test out the app. It took so long to show me a preview that I eventually exited the app and deleted it.
Great idea, but it has some major flaws.
