BEWARE! Don't waste your time
There aren't many Gigs. The one I did get was for a UPS Store. I thought great, and applied for it. I went and did the Gig, but emailed support because one question was to get exterior photos of the store in daylight, but you couldn't get license plates or people in the photos, since parking was right in front of the store. I tried waiting, but it's a busy place and every time one car would pull out another would pull in. So I ended up taking the photos with the license plates and emailed support stating it was impossible. I then submitted the Gig. A few days later, I received an email stating the client might have questions, and I would receive an email if they needed more info. They told me to submit my work, to which I was confused because I thought I already had, so I waited. Today, I received an email stating that I was removed from the Gig, because I didn't complete the additional information needed. Great, I would've submitted additional information if they would've told me what it was! I never got an email with further instruction. So now I don't get paid, and the Gig is back on the map to do, but I can guarantee you, it won't be me that will be completing it. It may have only been 7 miles away, but the $4 payment just isn't worth it to drive back down there for the amount of time you have to put into your Gig.
Don't waste your time. There are plenty of other apps out there that will pay you for your time. Skip this one! Beware!
Don't bother! Can't even get approved!!
Not many gigs. I found two gigs and wanted to complete them but I had to apply first and wait for a week. It should let you do gigs immediately! Total I applied for five gigs now and they haven't selected me at all!!!! I'm new and apparently they select only trusted gig walkers but how can I prove I do a great job if they don't even give me a chance?
Anyways, even a child can complete those simple and easy tasks so I don't understand why we have to apply and be approved to and do such trivial tasks?! It's not difficult to take few photos or answer questions snot products in store so it's a joke that they don't let you to do the gig right away.
It's a terrible application I don't recommend wasting your time. Those gigs are for around $10 and you have to apply for each and write why you should be selected.
They treat it like It's a real full time job application but it's just a small job for $10 yet I still can't even get it.
I'm very disappointed that others are always chosen even if I may apply first and I'm in the vicinity and I would do a great job. I wonder if I ever will be even accepted to do any gig????
Don't even waste your time!!!!!!!!!
Fails to Meet Expectations
Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews of this application. As a CPG professional, I’ve used both the consumer and enterprise versions of this app. In fact, I’m not quite sure which of these three issues is worse: (1) The overall poor performance of the application; (2) the across-the-board unresponsive “customer service” from Gigwalk via zendesk; or (3) the general disdain for Gigwalkers by clients who routinely enter incorrect data, lead with poor instructions, and hold Gigwalkers accountable for their own mistakes. Look, if you have the time to drive 30 miles to a gas station to take pictures of potato chips for $3 (that is, on the rare occasion when there are gigs on the app ), and don’t mind application bugs, snippy clients, or whether or not you’ll be paid: by all means, download this app. Otherwise, don’t waste your time.
