With the Glasses.com app, it’s easier than ever to find glasses you love, all from your mobile device. Our award winning virtual try-on technology creates a 3D model of your face. Once created, log into your Glasses.com account and browse hundreds of frames from Ray-Ban, Oakley, Burberry, Coach and more--all scaled to show how they would fit your face. Standard prescription lenses are included free with any frame over $160, shipping is always free and we offer a 30-day, no questions asked, return policy.
HOW IT WORKS
The app uses the video input from your phone’s camera to generate a 3D custom model of your head. If you’re curious to learn more, jump over to our website at glasses.com/app.
WHY WE MADE IT
We believe glasses are more than a medical utility—they’re a tool for self-expression and shopping for them should be fun and delightful. Glasses.com is the most innovative and fun way to find glasses or sunglasses that look good on you—and express who you are.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
"...a relief to the bespectacled hordes who have ever spent time in an eyeglasses store." - Forbes
"Dynamite." - Dean Takahashi, VentureBeat
"There have been all sorts of virtual fitting rooms over the years, but this is pretty nifty." - AllThingsD
What's New in Version 2.0.2
Minor fixes and iOS 10 updates.
Whatever happened to this app
It used to be that you would create your 3D picture and they would have all the glasses in the app so you could try them on your face and see the glasses from almost all angles. Really cool stuff. Now, you create your model. You then create an account. And then the app redirects you to their page on your phone's or tablet's browser. Then -some- glasses have the virtual try-on which load in the browser not in the app and takes so long I didn't even bother. If they ever fix this I'd like to be notified because for now I'll delete the app and I won't buy from them.
Worse Than Garbage
Makes you go through a whole long process: download the app, create an account, do multiple recordings of your face - and then doesn't save or apply any of it. And believe me, I was thorough. This wasn't operator error.
It's basically a dead app that records your information, stores your email address and video of your face and then just flat out doesn't work. Don't waste your time.
The website said it was optimized for iPhone 6. It worked with my SE and when using the web store on my computer. Getting the model to work with the web store on my phone is TBD.
