Globe for iPad is a Geography app which shows the countries of the world on a 3D globe - you can manipulate the globe with the normal iPad gestures — drag your finger or use a rotate gesture to rotate the globe; pinch to zoom in and out.
Search for a country and the globe will rotate to show that country.

Not perfect but very useful
This is not Google Earth, but then I don't suppose it was supposed to be. But it is a quick, easy method of finding most countries you hear about in the news. Handy and quick. You can always open Google Earth if you need more detail.
I'm amazed people are complaining about no Alaska or Hawaii. Those are STATES, people. No states are on this globe!! Oh, and someone said equator is spelled wrong. I think they were looking at the label on Ecuador. Learn geography, people! Anyway, a "North Up" button would be a nice thing, perhaps a prime meridian, but overall a cool simple app.
You are missing some places
This app is great but you are missing the Arctic and Antarctic which is a downer so if you could fix that it would be great. I just found out you are missing some other places like Hawaii. I think that you should label the states and provinces of America and Canada so that you can learn about those places if your from somewhere else. If you made an up date fixing those things I will rate this app better till then you get a 1 star.
