In Glow Bugs™, you play a ladybug who glides through the night, navigating around obstacles while avoiding other nasty insects. Collect aphids along your journey to power-up or transform your bug's look (aphids are delicious little bug snacks).
We love Glow Bugs so much, that we were inspired to write a poem about the game. Here goes...
Lady glow bug sets out at night,
Munching every tasty aphid in sight.
Other glow bugs can cause quite a scare,
Strong wings help her soar through the air.
Hidden treats increase her powers,
An exciting game amongst the grass & flowers.
If poetry isn't your thing, just picture those same lines laid down to a fierce hip hop track. Shakespeare, Keats, Kipling, Tupac, ODB, Easy E and Biggie would all be writing dope rhymes about the Glow Bugs game if they were alive today. No doubt. The game is just that inspiring and fly.

kinda like a 2D temple run.
This game has a LOT of the elements that make games great! It has a store that you don't NEED wi-fi for, you CAN buy things from the store with real money to make things go faster but it's NOT REQUIRED (unlike all of those stupid simulation games where there are things you need in the game in order to do things but you can only get them by spending loads of money and getting in-app purchases), it has DEFINITELY got a strong addictive quality, there are unlockable power-ups (that again, you don't need to pay money for), it's got achievements (and you don't need something like Game Center or Openfeint to view), and it has good artwork and graphics that are eye-pleasing for any age. Well, that's the good news, I would like to be able to:
1: See the objectives from the Game Over screen
2: See stats about my run after I lose (flowers, dandelions, bugs killed, high scores, aphids, how long I survived)
3: Be able to buy more different shells
4: Be able to unlock more achievements
5: I know it's asking a LOT, but I think it would be AMAZING if you could design you own shell
Enjoyable... With some limits
Very addictive at first but loses its appeal when goals begin to become unattainable. Have encountered a few small glitches where a bug will miss picking up a flower or take a slower turn around a fly trap that loses the game a little prematurely... But fairly rare- the bigger problem is an impossible section that offers loss of interest (too fast- with death traps covering the entire path), also lags and speeds up- causes trouble playing and predicting speed. Seems great at first but continues to go downhill in the details- more careful thought in challenging levels would help this
Awful
I have so much trouble with this game .it. Has no. Instructions on how to play it, or maybe I'm the idiot that don't know how to play it. My sound effects disappear once in a while and I like to hear the sounds as the bugs R killed, so I have to delete the game and reinstall it again . I can't figure out how to cross the water every time I get to have to cross the water I get killed. Oh and another thing I can't figure out which R. The dandelions ? It's absolutely frustrating , The sound effects disappear , and I have to keep on deleading the app and reinstalling. In order to be able to hear the sound effects.
