Gluten Free is an app that allows you to view Gluten Free Safe and Unsafe ingredients whilst on the move.
What's New in Version 1.1.2
This app needs reviewing and editing! I'm a Gluten-Free Lifestyle Coach, and I've found several errors on this app. Avena Sativa (oats) MUST be certified as gluten-free in order for the ingredient to be safe. We all know that gluten-free people cannot consume Oats without them being certified GF because of the cross-contamination. We should all know this! Also, autolyzed yeast extract is not always safe. I know this, because I produced a gluten-free menu for a popular restaurant in Atlanta, and this ingredient in a product came back as gluten!
I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone... I found these 2 errors just in the A's.
Pretty good for a quick reference of gluten free ingredients. I've seen apps like this going for ten dollars, and it's already come in handy a few times and I've only had it a week or so. There might be more comprehensive apps out there that tell you what's gluten free and what's not, but so far this app has done the trick.
Easy to use
This app provides a list of ingredients and color codes what is ok and not ok. You can scroll through the list like your contact list. A search feature would be helpful.
