This app lets you easily browse, search for, and display the Glycemic Index for different foods. You can also access Glycemic Load and carbohydrates + fiber contents in foods. There's also a calculator of the Glycemic Load in a given serving. Knowing these values and following a low-carb diet like Montignac, Paleo, Atkins, low-GI and similar, helps avoid weight gain or obesity and lower the risk of diabetes, coronary heart and age-related health diseases.

Ratings and Reviews
Nope. To get all the features they've implied come free you gotta pay $4.00 for it.
I don't know about you, but I hate being manipulated, and this app has one sneaky, bait and switch app-store description.
Allow me to preface the following with this: I don't mind paying for a good/better app. Do it all the time. But, the developer for this thing must be a former E.A. smartphone game developer because they're charging TWO separate $2 in-app purchases for features they've conveniently implied come with the free one; They buried the required purchase part after the main first paragraph where it implies the features come free. You gotta be really paying attention to catch it.
Now, I admit that $4 isn't braking the bank, especially for a good app. This app might be good after you've gone through the process of buying all the features needed, but I ain't rewarding them for their deceptive practices.
Good App Needs Some Improvements
Being a Type 2 diabetic I am constantly looking for diabetic tools that will help me manage my diabetes ... like counting glycemic loads.
This app is almost there but lacks certain features that will make this app great.
Adding combination foods is extremely important. While this app allows you to add new foods it falls short on convince because you have to know the GI for the food and almost always have to look up on the Internet. Very inconvenient!
Still don’t understand the food calculator: does the food calculator exits to create combination foods? If so, how do I transfer the items I listed on the food calculator under ONE NAME to my daily log instead of the multi items that were added.
I saw today that all my foods under GL tab in my food table just disappeared ... what the hell just happened? Did I hit a wrong button? It would be nice if I could restore that tab!
I believe this app is on the right track, but just not 100% there yet ... I’ll be glad when it is!
Difficult to use - wish I could get a refund!
You have to choose between ounces and grams for your food servings, and the same setting will decide whether you use pounds or kg for your weight setting. The problem with this is that either I have to convert my weight to kg every day, or I have to under- or overreport my food servings, as there's no decimal to indicate part of an ounce (though apparently the standard serving size is 3.53 oz). Also, I cannot see the food I've uploaded to my consumption diary.
