A classic arcade game for Mac originally by John Calhoun, Glypha has been brought back to life for the iPhone and iPod touch!
You are in control of a knight on a winged steed in an Egyptian temple, battling sphinxes through increasingly difficult levels. Gameplay is simple – you must fly and collide with enemy sphinxes with your lance above theirs.
With simple controls, challenging gameplay, and cool retro graphics, Glypha will keep you coming back for more.
Best of all, it's free, so grab your copy now!
I played this for hours on my old Macintosh many years ago. Now I have it updated and portable, with the familiar old graphics and sounds that I loved (although a little changed, at least the game over song is the same), and running about five times faster, to boot (that's a good thing). Best of all, it was free! This is an awesome game!
Yes it's free. But it shouldn't be!! This game is super addicting if you like joust. Could use an online leaderboard and more level but it's free so I can't complain. Highly advise picking it up.
And to those people who complain that when they die it puts them infront of an enemy. You are invincible until you press a button. Just sit there until it is clear.
Joust has a lot of memories with me. And this faithful port with GOOD CONTROLS makes the experience more nostalgic. Coupled with being free, one of yhe best on my ipod.
Ps idk if you update but coop would be great even if local
Edit: There is a bug where hit detection is way off. I can be killed just being a floor below somebody. It would be really awesome if you could fix this
