Similarities?
While I am not the biggest fan of the cgi look, I like the breadth of cultures depicted. However, I did notice something strange. My friend has the Dark Goddess Oracle deck, and there are the exact same cards in her deck. Maman and Kali are the same. Her Persephone is the GWO’s Juno. Her Sheela na Gig is the GWO’S Baba Yaga. The woman has been flipped and added to a different background. Lastly, her Medusa is GWO’S Coatlicue. I am not sure for whom the images were made for, but I do not believe that this is correct. Along with plagiarism, it does not do justice to these deities to assign a stock image to them. Each and every one is unique and has symbols associated with them that are an aspect of who they are. Taking that away from them is not honoring them in any way.
