Totally addicted.
So my previous rating still stands. I love playing this game. I got a new iPad and so I lost all my progress and had to start again. This time I knew what I was doing and my civilization is now flourishing. I finally got to weyworld and it's a ton of fun. Although I really missed the Halloween update like last year. I'd love an update for Christmas or an update for homeworld. I have so much belief, crops, and minerals just there. Wasting away. I rarely collect anything anymore at homeworld because I have around 4000k just in belief alone. There are no more expansion beacons or even any cards or challenges to do. I'm worried for when I completely get control of weyworld what is next? I love this game but if there is no more advancement I don't see the point in playing much longer.
I love this little quirky game. It's different and beautiful. Of course it has a few difficulties but they aren't that bad. The voyagers for challenges are complete idiots, sometimes I drown them for fun, but that's just me. Also it's hard to keep happiness up all the time and if you don't play for a few days hundreds of you followers with convert to the astari . But otherwise the game is fantastic and if you have any issues with the game play ask a question on the website I was answered in a mater of days with a very helpful answer. They are very polite and willing to help the gamer have a pleasant experience.
Great game, but...
Update: my previously stated issues still remain, but what I've also noticed is Epic sculpting eats up way too much of my phone's processing ability. It's not the slow aspect of sculpting gigantic swaths of land, which gives the feeling of moving mountains, which I get. The skill is simply process-intensive, flat out, to a degree where the game bugs and sculpts in the opposite direction, undoing most of the last swipe. In order to avert this issue, I have to wait about 2 seconds extra to make another swipe so that my phone can stop with the stuttering. I can't even move the camera around while I'm waiting for my phone's processing power to return. Might not seem like much of an issue,but when you're trying to raise the level of 5+ screen sizes worth of beach sand to the height of white snow-tipped mountain tops, waiting that extra time to sculpt gets a little tedious. I'm always fighting with the camera to stay rotated where I want while it constantly reorients back to default intermittently, immediately if not terraforming. Add an option to turn off auto rotate to default position and I'll be a happy camper. The camera rotation mechanic is also a little rough as well. Sometimes the game doesn't register your rotations and just moves vertically. In a game like this where camera movement is a central mechanic, these issues are important to address. Love the game itself, however. 2 stars off for these critical issues.
Great game! 💟💟
Godus is a very fun and addicting game, it has great content and has good quality. The idea is great but the only complaint I have is that it is touchy. As I started I had little belief and it was difficult to get around the world without moving some land. I get one finger to move land and two to move across the world, but sometimes it doesn't read my fingers and I move land using up much of my little belief. So my single suggestion to making this better is to create a move and move land button, the concept of this idea is when you leave the button off it simply allows you to move without having to worry about using up belief you try to keep. Then when you click it you can move land, the only downside to this is that you can't move around the world. To fix this you should be able to zoom in and out and rotate around the section of land. I know I said one suggestion but another one could be that you can see through the eyes of your followers giving the game a more 3D aspect, which will make the game even better. For example sometimes the people can't get to the required location and its hard to find the piece of land that's in the way, with their point of view you will be able to see the problem. That's all I have to say sorry about the long review I don't believe anyone will really read this anyway. Thanks - Chloe
