I love this app. It is so positive and is even better than the personalized system I created for myself. I have 10-12 habits I'm focused on building that all work together and I REALLY need reminders for all. The opposite of distracting me, working at them all at once strengthens each even more. The free app called Procrastin8r does this, but you put in a group of items and set how often you want a random item to pop up (every 5 minutes to every few hours, adjustable). I like your format better and it would be awesome if it could handle multiple items with each one set w different reminders.
Great idea, as a young adult, student, step- mom I constantly need to b reminded about various things. My only suggestion is to have the option to be reminded about multiple things. I read and understand your reasoning for one reminder at a time, but life is too short! I feel like I benefit from your app, and I would like to be reminded of different mantras during different times of the day, working accordingly to my schedule. Having a limited number of mantras is a great idea, sometimes we do take on more than we can swallow. Hence, the importance for the app. Thank you for your time.
What I was looking for
Having random positive reminders is awesome, and exactly what I was looking for to help me reenforce my habits.
But like many other reviewers, I REALLY want the ability to customize multiple mantras. I have several mantras that I'd like to remind myself of throughout the day, and I'd prefer to do it in my own words.
A key element of this app is using positive wording to encourage good habits, and though I appreciate the default habits it would be awesome to have more freedom to say it in a way that inspires me.
For example: I may choose to have a mantra that states "Water is the essence of life" instead of "Drinking water is good for me" without using my one custom habit.
Or perhaps I'm a very habitual water drinker, and it's not something I need to be reminded to do. In that case, it's taking up a slot as one of my 5 possible reminders, whereas another might be more useful to me.
