Customer Reviews

Why?!? Just... why?

They implemented auto read on articles from publications with limits (10/month or 3/month). If you accidentally click on an article while scrolling, that counts as one. You can't even click an article to read the rest of a headline without it counting as one read. The old system was far better where you had to swipe down to unlock the article. Also you cannot filter publications, which has left my feed littered with the likes of TMZ and local Colorado news (I live in the Northeast).

Sources

Unlike the Apple app, Google Newsstand doesn't let you block certain sources from appearing in the "read now" section. There is a siege of right wing propaganda that makes me sick to see or accidentally open. I can't use this app. I will come back when Google gives us the option to block/mute sources.

Great news app

IMHO easier to use than either the Apple news app or individual websites
