Performance issues in an otherwise great app
While I'm in agreement with most other reviewers regarding the quality of this great note-taking app, I can't help but notice some performance issues. I have a few lists imported from the discontinued Listary app, some of which contain more than a hundred items. These notes take around 4 seconds to open on my iPad Air 2 (update: a list consisting of 182 mostly single-word entries opens in 7.5 (!!!) seconds on my iPhone 5s - feels like I'm back in 2008). They open almost instantaneously in Listary and in the web app version of Keep on Windows. I understand that Keep isn't optimized solely for handling long lists, but this kind of performance is unacceptable on the fastest iOS device available. While scrolling through my notes I sometimes notice stuttering animations, search is kind of sluggish as well.
Otherwise this app is a joy to use and, if these performance issues are resolved, absolutely deserves a 5-star rating.

Thank you thank you thank you! I'm so happy Google has decided to spend some of their development power on Keep. I've been tracking it since the only way to get to it was to go directly to it's weblink. I didn't know if they were ever going to make a version for iPad so I'm so excited for it. I make a bar for each day of the week to put to-dos in and make them a different color-- it's been the most productive to-do app I've ever used, it's fun and simple, and now Google has made it cross platform!
Nice But Too Slow
I just switched to the iPhone 6s from a Galaxy S3 and I was excited to see that Keep was available on iOS. It was my main note taking app on my S3 and it was very quick and responsive. Unfortunately this is not the case on my new iPhone 6s. Now when I open the app it takes about 5-10 seconds to open any note when it should be virtually instant, as it was on my previous 3 year old phone. Disappointed this app performs so poorly on a brand new phone, hope they fix it soon. Surely they can cache the notes to avoid any lag. They also need more colors and the ability to lock/password protect individual notes.
