Customer Reviews

Please allow me to CHOOSE my news sources.

I don't get it. The desktop version allows me to customize my news sources by logging in. But you don't get this option at all in the mobile app. The only feature you get is the ability to add sections.

It's 2017. We all know mainstream news is biased. Google may not be picking the stories, but at this moment, Google IS picking the sources and sorting stories based on some type of algorithm that puts "certain" sources above others. And that still equals bias.

What's news and what's not.

What the app considers as top headlines is almost weighs as heavily as what's in each article. Lately, I have been coming across articles that look like news, but are instead someone's blog article. This is problematic as many could perceive someone's biased opinion as an official news source. All in all, Google News needs to work on its algorithms to only include reputable, journalistic articles. If they're focusing on what's trending, they should change the name of this app.

Best news aggregator

I have used this app for the longest time and love the access to unbiased, ad-free news. The weather info at the top of the page is convenient too.
