Cool iOS app, but overall ehh

The new iPad app is nice and the service in general sounds like a good idea, but there are still too many problems for me to risk uploading and running my music library on it.

The biggest problem is Google replacing your music files with their own, which aren't always correct. I'm also now discovering many times they flat out refuse to acknowledge you uploaded a song because their is another song with the same name on a different album.

And maybe just as big a problem is it doesn't sync between computers. Ideally you would be able to just add a new song file or files to your music folder and Google Play would sync that to your cloud account and then to your music folder on your desktop or laptop or other desktop or whatever you have set up to be synced. But it doesn't, you have to use their annoying music manager app to re-download your entire music library which most people probably do not have enough space for on their hard drive, just for one song file. And if you download a song individually, they threaten to steal that song from you if you download it more than x number of times. So it isn't worth the risk.

Also annoying is it requires you to install three different apps just for this one service (Chrome, Music Manager, Google Play) and you still won't be able to listen to anything offline on your laptop.

By far, the best music app

I use this app so much, I deleted all the music out of my music library just to put it on play music. I only have one issue, and it doesn't happen too frequently, but it still does. The issue is that it will randomly jump halfway through a song that just started playing, or when a song ends, it will switch to the next, and then go back to the previous song and play the last 9 seconds or so. If that could be fixed within the next update, that would be fantastic.

Come on Google!

This app is pretty buggy. It continually crashes and then loses its place on the song I was listening too. Pretty annoying.

I have multiple issues with this app, and the whole streaming service, really. Crappy iPad app, sub par radio music lists, poor streaming capability, etc. What's prompted me to write this review though, is that over my crappy wifi connection this app had a VERY difficult time getting music to stream. Ok, I blamed the wifi connection. But then I turned on pandora, and guess what? It's streaming flawlessly! Why can Pandora stream when this app can't? That's the question. Come on Google! You should be better than this.
