Finally Done Right

A while ago Google purchased Songza, and I have been awaiting the day when they would add its features to their Music app. That day has come, and the transition is almost seamless. Since I used Google to login to Songza, it recognized the music preferences from Songza, and suggested stations were populated with artists I enjoyed automatically. Genres and moods are identical, and the Concierge has been ported over. There's only one thing missing - Favorites weren't ported over or shared. It's going to take time to manually re-add these stations. Ads on stations remain unobtrusive and stations don't try to force new and popular artists into stations that they don't belong in, unlike some other music streaming services. Awesome App, now please don't screw it up Google!

Great music selection & quality but app sluggish and buggy

I am a subscriber to the Google Play Pass and so enjoy that aspect of it as well as have my personal library uploaded. I feel the app used to be much more robust and fast but ever since they doubled down on radio, the app has been slow/unresponsive (multiple taps to get songs to play), buggy (favorited songs just disappear from my Thumbs Up playlist - re-adding works but it's erratic and unpredictable) and the UI took a turn towards the awkward (why is EVERYTHING in My Library - makes everything more clicks to get to content and playlists when having it one layer up would be hugely easier and there is room for it)

I have faith it can be better but Google needs to up its game in quality for mobile music players - the competition is stiff and they are falling behind.

Still works but annoying ads - bring back non-radio version

Obviously the radio station support now adds the need for ads. But if you don't use the radio station feature you still have to have it, including the ugly ads throughout. Also, if you search you don't get your music, you get their stations. Lastly, listen now puts their stations at the top. All these should only be there for those that use the radio station. Perhaps a setting to remove all the radio related stuff. Otherwise if you only use the app for your own music (such as myself) it's in the way and ugly.
At least add an option for the app to open to "my library" instead of listen now.
Used to be such a good app. Now I have to consider the Paid service of apple music. Meh.
