Pretty good but frustrating
It picked up reservations from email and recommended some good sites, but frustrating especially for day trip feature. Anytime you edit a trip it saves it as a new trip rather than editing the existing one. It also doesn't place them in order - Day 1, 2 and 3 or take into consideration the places you favorited. The magic wand will save a location even if you already added it for another day and you can't just type in the location you want - you have to search for it on the map. It would be great if it also recommended restaurant near by attractions you selected or automatically lumped your favorites together based on location or length of stay to help actually plan the trip.
Wish it saved places as "Want to Go"
Overall useful app. Its very powerful day plans feature is unparalleled to my knowledge. It's also useful for just finding stuff to do around you (eg I live outside Philly and sometimes take day trips there).
FEEDBACK:
- I wish it saved places into Google Map's "Want to go" list instead of "Starred places". Since the introduction of multiple lists, I make heavy use of them.
- I wish there were more places available to search. Sometimes places in Google Mapa arn't present in Trips. (eg "Camac Street" is a cool little place in Philly, but it's not yet labeled in Google Maps as a Place, and wholly unavailable in Trips 😢)
Great idea, mediocre implementation
I have been actively using this app for my next trip but app started to show its issues and missing features. At the time of this writing, app refused to get bookings automatically from my email.
It would be nice to add customized notes for reference and add custom places to the itinerary. Also i would like to customize the travel time between destinations for my references. There are quite few useful features missing and i hope the app will get mature soon.
