DON'T DO IT! What a scam. 😡
Used GW once before and it seemed effortless. Used it to send $800 to a friend. Set up a GW account on her phone and submitted the transaction. She got a text telling her how to claim it. When we tried claiming it there was no email sent explaining how. Contacted their Customer Service which is offshore and horrid. Unable to communicate with any sense of urgency, unable to resend the email we never got, escalated to a supervisor who wasn't able to resolve anything other than to cancel my transaction and it would take 7-10 business days to go back to my account. Then asked me to call my bank to see if they could reverse it. Bank unable to without a fax from google releasing the hold on my funds. Its been 6 days and here i am holding for another supervisor who is too busy to take a call and another agent reading a script; not listening to what i actually NEED from them to get my money back; wanting to cancel my transaction and it basically will take another 7-10 days to give me back my funds. Never again. Save yourself the drama. Just wish I'd taken the time to read the reviews versus looking at all the pretty stars. Which is incredibly misleading.
Easy to use
I've used it a few time to loan my friend who is far away money. He also used it to pay me back. For the transfer from him to me it said my debit card was invalid. There were a few months between transactions. I may have gotten a new debit card during that time, I'm not sure. I wanted the funds in a different account anyways, so I entered a new card number. I was having connection issues with wifi so it wouldn't complete the transaction, but I got an email reminder to collect the funds. When I clicked the link it said "no transfer available" but I realized it was bc I wasn't signed in on the browser where it launched vs the app. I launched the app, saw the funds, clicked and done. I would recommend this for anyone who needs to transfer funds quickly. PayPal is more user friendly once established, but they have to confirm ALL your stuff before you can use which takes several days and there are a lot of regulations.
Fast, easy and convenient
by far has exceeded my expectation, i have an account in my bank that has 24 hour grace period for overdraft fee -- i totally forgot to deposit cash on my account like 10 mins before i will start paying overdraft instead of driving to the bank which could take me 15 mins and could had been overdraft anyways, i ask my brother to send money to my account and gave him the cash instead and that save me from my over drop fee. been using it quite as often.. loving it -- true customer (pinay,rn,mother)
