This is my first payment app and I love it. It's much easier than PayPal on my laptop. The security is enough that I feel safe but it's not an inconvenience. Visually, it's very user-friendly. I'd give a full five stars if there was a drop down box when you're sending money that allows you to choose if the money will come from your google balance or your bank. But at this point it looks like it will come from your
Google balance until it's gone and then come from your bank account. This was quite inconvenient at one point when I wanted to send more than I had in my google balance and I kept getting a message saying "not enough funds". I ended up having to withdraw the Google balance completely so that wallet would take the funds from my bank account instead of trying to take it from my Google balance. Otherwise, I love the app!
I've been using google wallet since 2013. It started with buying drinks from vending machine with built in NFC. Much later I used it to pay in stores. When I decided I was going to save for a long trip, I requested the Google Wallet card and started saving for my trip in the Google wallet ecosystem and used the card to pay for things associated with the trip. I leave in July and wanted the ability to quickly cancel my card, change my pin, have money sent to me in an emergency, and to keep my trips money completely disassociated from my regular bank account. Of course, like Google Reader, all good Google things must come to an end. A single purpose app for transferring money is useless to me and so Wallet will be replaced.
Wallet has replaced PayPal
I use wallet increasingly for transferring money between relatives and sharing expenses with friends and roommates. I even use it to pay my landlord! Amazing how simple, fast, and convenient it is to move money and pay for items online. PayPal is in trouble, as I plan to completely eliminate my account. I don't think I'll be needing my banks external transfer feature either... Please continue to support this app. In my opinion, no more features need to be added as long as it stays this reliable and easy to use... Anything else is icing on the cake
