Overall a very useful app. It can be used as a remote for the camera, and shows the user what the camera is viewing, almost eliminating the need for a LCD screen on the camera. Also allows viewing of photos and videos via the app, that are stored on the camera. Won't playback some of the higher frame rate and resolution videos and pictures, but I'm pretty sure that's a limitation of the phone, not the app. Overall, very useful in my opinion.
Won't DL 4K videos to iPhone6S/ Connectivity=Horrible
As a shareholder in the company, I have to say this app is absolutely terrible.
GOPRO, get some IT techs on this and allow for downloading/uploading of videos shot above 1080 @ 30fps to be transferred to iPhone 6S (which, evidently supports video up to 4K)!!!!
Additionally, the wifi connectivity is so incredibly faulty and fickle, I often have to turn off wifi and power on my Hero4 Black, then shut down the app on my iPhone, then start the whole process over again to reconnect. This often takes 3-5 minutes or more. For such a reputable and profitable company, I expect much more as both a consumer and a shareholder. Thanks GoPro, I know you can do it :)
Awesome App, don't know what everyone's crying about...
I love this GoPro app, all I want is to be able to download my timelapse videos straight to my phone in high def... That will be very convenient! Timelapse/Video mode should be able to use 1080 instead of 4K to make that possible... Or since the new iPhone 6s supports 4K you should be able to download the timelapse videos straight to your camera roll
