Customer Reviews

Empty content. Good as a grocery reference.

This app is a good reference guide as to fruit and fish, however, I was left underwhelmed. There are errors that should have been caught. Under '10 Money Saving Tips', none of which I didn't already know: #7, "Turn your water heater down to as low as you can bare [sic] it!". Bare means to get naked, bear means to endure. There are areas where the text cuts off and can't be expanded to see the rest of the sentence-- #2 on '10 Money Saving Tips', "Try eating at least 2 meat-free dinners per..." per what? Hour? Day? Week? Year?

In addition, if a description says 'How to dispose of household items", it should tell you... how to dispose of household items instead of having a list of items considered hazardous waste with a token website name. I would also appreciate an expanded list of exactly what to look out for-- if the items in the Red Alert list are expanded on as to where they're found, the Orange Alert items should have had something similar.

I don't feel this was worth my .99c and feel there should be an update to the app addressing the concerns of myself and others. As it stands with no updates in two years, I wonder if this app will or has been updated to reflect any changes to, say, meat labeling? Or which fish are sustainable? Or if some of the beauty red alerts have been renamed, as is trying to be done for HFCS? Or any other concerns?

Great pocket guide for green shopping!

Just used the app to educate myself while shopping at the market. De-mystifies and simplifies the whole label maze. The meat and produce sections helped me pick out healthy food for my family and saved me some money too. I'm going to buy the book now!

Don't bother

Keep trying to write a poor review but the app won't let me if I only put one star. You can get all this info for free on the net. Don't bother buying this.
