Do you have what it takes to play against the Pro players of the old western? Dare to join a tournament or a cash game and perhaps bet ALL IN. Does it satisfy you to totally clean the table of players and win all their cash and even their property. Do you have what it takes to become the Governor of Poker and take over all of Texas.
How? Battle your way in poker tournaments or cash games and win all the cash and property! Buy houses, and means of transport to get you everywhere in Texas. In Governor of Poker you can make it, and you can make it BIG! At the end you only have to wonder? Do I have all I wanted. Or is there one more poker game I must win?

The smooth interface of GOP makes it one of the best poker games out there. Graphics are superb, programming is clean, and the poker math itself is fine. The only two issues I have are actually substantial and important. Firstly, the display sizing is terrible. Please release an update that doesn’t change the resolution of your screen when you launch the app. It is very frusturating, and I have found myself playing the online version more often due to this flaw. Secondly, the in-game money is problematic. Often times at a beginner level (before owning many properties) I have lost a poker game, and need to hit the “next day” button hundreds of times to play even a single other game. This is very frustrating, and has led 5 people I know to delete the app! Please consider these changes when making a new update. Thanks!
Game has problem with bad beats and shuffling. You start out in a town and $300. You use your poker winning to buy the four shops (which pay meager rent to you) in town by winnings from cash or tournament games. When this is done you need to play heads up to win a horse to leave and go to the next town of which there appears to be thirteen in total, with each town having 5 to 11 shops. Probably one of the better Mac Texas Hold'em games, but it has problems particulary in the cash games with balance. I was in a heads up game and in sixteen straight hands only recieved very low cards all under a nine except for two hands a 9-2, and an Ace-4. You can also hit an absurd streak of luck getting continual great hands also. I played a medium difficulty and found the AI will bluff and slow play great hands, mostly in the cash games. Good Luck!
