Limited functionality but easy and fast

Unless there’s some control I can’t find, all it does is pop up a screen with horizontal and vertical accuracy (yay!) and your lat/long/altitude/speed/direction.
It doesn’t tell you how many satellites it sees, or signal strength or what systems, so I don’t know if it’s just GPS or also GLONASS/etc., but what it does do it does quickly and easily.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the system forbids any app to access the data you mentioned. Will add them if future iOS updates made them available.

Does exactly what is supposed to do

5 GPS metrics displayed nicely on the screen. I really appreciate the accuracy readout in regular (US) units as well as long/lat/altitude readout. Of course the units are probably picking up my phone ‘locale’.

This app informs me when to load my workout app (when accuracy is good). That takes a few minutes but realize there’s nothing anyone can do about that. That’s a limitation of the GPS satellite data rate. The time taken to get high accuracy is no greater than what I remember it taking on my high end Garmin outdoors Gos. So far no advertising pop up’s! Don’t remember if this is freeware but I’ll take it.

Very little information

Waze suggested this app to determine GPS signal strength (which I need to place a network extender in my house). It does give the GPS information that your iPhone is seeing, but I have concerns. My concerns / complaints are:

1. No price was listed in the Apple App Store; doesn’t that mean it’s free? I wouldn’t download it if not free. Yet the App Store said “Payment Processed”. There’s a potential dispute.
2. Where’s the settings button? How to change from meters to feet/miles? Don’t app developers for products offered in the US know we can’t/won’t use metric only tools?
3. Where’s the GPS signal strength indicator? That all I wanted this app for!
4. Where’s the battery usage indicator? Waze wears my iPhone battery down so I only use it on long trips. I wanted an app that showed battery usage, so I could determine optimization and modify my usage according.

I hope the app developer reads this and addresses; if an update is offered with signal strength & settings this might be a workable solution that I’d rewrite this review for. Else, I’ll trash it.

Developer Response ,

1. It's free, App Store still does a zero dollar transaction though.
2. The latest version now supports imperial units
3. iOS system limitation only allow apps to check horizontal/vertical accuracy
4. This again is not available to the app, can only check in system settings -> Battery. There you can check usage information for all apps.
