DO NOT BUY!!! They took my $1.99. I downloaded the application and it does NOT work at all.

Works like a charm

Open program, nothing displays (no app), choose file (to open), and bang, it displays the route in a map. Responsive, resizeable, change map views (I like hybrid best). No clutter, so screen grabs are easier. Things that would make this better would be image exporter (so the displayed route was automatically converted to an image and then exported), heart, velocity, etc. info. But, you won’t get a much better deal for less than $2.00. Kudos to author!

Great little app

This app fulfills my specific need quite simply: it allows me to view .tcx files exported from Fitbit outside of the app. It displays my GPS-tracked routes from my Fitbit Surge in Apple Maps on my Macbook running OS 10.10.5. Previous reviewers did not understand that clicking on the icon in the dock only opens the app. One then needs to click on File in the menu bar when GPX Reader is active to open the desired .gpx or .tcx file. Also, these files are not natively associated with this app, so it takes opening at least one while the app is active to make the association. Thereafter, just double-clicking on a .tcx or .gpx file should automatically open GPX Reader.
