Five years ago, Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas, a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers.
Now, it’s the early 90’s. Carl’s got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster.
On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.

Update please
Ok so you might be thinking to your self why does it need a update? Well it needs a update for 2 reasons 1 money and 2 multiplayer. Ok we will start with money sure you can get money when you murder or do an ambulance mission but that's hard for some people. So maybe you should start with 15,000$ so you can pay for pay 'n spray and other things like when you die. Now I'll tell you why I personally think we should get multiplayer. You should be able to play with friends and family with in your wifi. Or just anyone who wants to start a public game. Me and my little brother always play gta sa on our iPods and want to play together. And now that I think about it we should be able to camp. I mean why does the game have Rv's if you can't camp it's not fair. The xbox 360 and the computer can do all these things so why can't smaller devices I mean they could make a lot more real money cause people will buy the game cause it will have great features. But Otherwise this is the most Outstanding game in the world. 😝 it has outstanding graphics and shading it has flawless cars its the perfect role play game!!!!
AMAZING but...
I was looking at the reviews earlier and saw that the game was bad on the iPod touch 5th Generation. However, I downloaded the game on my iPod touch 5th Gen and I have to say it is one of the best games I have ever bought. I have GTA 3 and Vice City on my iPod and San Andreas blows away those two with the amount of fun it has! Rockstar did a great job refining the graphics and the bugs it has. However, there are a few bugs that do get annoying. The cars bounce when driving and that can get annoying but not too bad. Also, there is this glitch (and please tell me if it's just me) but when a car gets damage, the damage on the car will change that part of the car's color. As I could be driving my red Fortune car and then when I dent my bumper, it will turn blue. That's a pretty bad issue Rockstar has to fix! There are more bugs but overall, San Andreas is great on the iPod touch 5th Gen. I have all GTAs for PS2 and this game is a huge improvement over the PS2 ones. Even though it is $6.99, it is so worth having and so much fun! Thank you Rockstar!
BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!
I saw this game on the top charts and I decided to buy it, because I looked at everyone's reviews and it seemed good. Then, I actually bought the game and it is amazing, it is the type of game where you don't need wifi to play and it portable. The only down side about this game is that it consumes your battery life at a very rapid rate. Other than the game is amazing with good graphics and a very interesting/dramatic storyline. The cars in this game are so cool, they are exactly what they looked like in the 80's and they are antique. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves gaming and plays games and it's a good sandbox game. It's actually better than most sandbox game, because it give you this big story to start with and it takes a while until you would actually finish the story. In this game you get to drive all kinds of vehicles like cars, planes, motorcycles and etc. yo summarize I say you should definately buy this game.
