Welcome to the 1980s.
From the decade of big hair, excess and pastel suits comes a story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile as Grand Theft Auto returns.
Vice City is a huge urban sprawl ranging from the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, and is the most varied, complete and alive digital city ever created. Combining non-linear gameplay with a character driven narrative, you arrive in a town brimming with delights and degradation and are given the opportunity to take it over as you choose.

Has Audio Issues
This download has audio issues which have not yet been fixed. You will need to fix these yourself after downloading this game. (audio issues in my experience, include: 1.) No tire squealing sound while driving a vehicle 2.) Buzzing/Distortion sound in LEFT speaker during cutscenes and some other parts) Other than that, this game is great. 3 stars since audio is a crucial part of any game and since its so tedious to fix. I’ve also downloaded GTA: 3 on the App Store and it has the same audio issues mentioned here.
There some missions in the game where the keys required to perfrom certain tasks don’t work on the Macbook. For example, using an RC helicopter in the game is ext to impossible because you need to be able to use the NUM6 and NUM9 keys to move forward and backwards. The game will not let the user perform those functions, making advancing in the game impossible. If there is a way to fix that then I have no other complaints. Any feedback from someone who’s figured this out would be great.
Earlier today I realized this classic game had a Mac port, and at less than ten bucks I had to buy it. I’m glad I did - I’ve been playing it for hours, and so far it’s flawless, smooth, and fun on my rMBP13. I’m going to buy GTAIII once I’ve beaten this one. I loved it on the PS2, and it’s better still on the Mac. (For comparison, I had the Windows port and didn’t really enjoy it - perhaps the notion of booting into Windows for a game was too bothersome.)
I haven’t encountered any bugs yet. I love the responsiveness playing with a gamepad, which contrasts with some of the reviews that said they couldn’t get a gamepad to work. If it matters, I’m using a “steelseries” gamepad.
Thanks for your time!
