UPDATE 20Jul17: WHEN are they going to FIX this? ZERO stars!
Update: 20Jul17 ok FINALLY. After talking to a great Csr @ Grande about other issues, he recommended I delete and reinstalle the app on both iPhone 7+ and IPad Pro and by golly, it works! I haven't had a chance to actually use it but wanted to share try -DELETE AND REINSTALL- and resign in. At least I got past the constant closing of the app after signing in. Wahooo! Adding a star from my initial 1star
Update 15Jul17: Do the customers of Grande need to file a class action lawsuit & file FEC complaints citing BAIT & SWITCH advertising via TV ads to get Grande to PROGRAM this app? They must be the ONLY cable company without an app for "on the go" yet claim it's one of our benefits of monthly premiums.
I've physically gone to Grande N Dallas/Castle Hills office and told the manager this app not only doesn't work BUT about the reviews here. NO ONE is able to get it to work. She said "they are working on it--it's a minor tweak". No it's not. One SPECIFIC reason I went with Grande is so I could use the app to watch TV on my patio or backyard. They keep advertising it on tv about how great it is. I can't get it to work on any of my Apple products (various versions) including my 7+ iPhone w most updated iOS. No excuse! There hasn't been an "update" documented in the app here in over a year (without looking). FIX IT or I'm going to drop Grande and go elsewhere!
What’s the purpose of this app?
The only reason to download the app is to record shows that you forgot to program while at home…the biggest reason I downloaded this app was to watch either tv shows that have been recorded or to watch tv while not at home. All the other providers are able to give their customers the ability to perform this except for Grande.
I’m here to tell you that if it weren’t for my apartment only having grande as a provider they would not retain me as a customer. Other things that make this a horrible experience as a consumer is that I pay $200 for the service monthly for internet and cable (~200 channels) without any ability to use the app effectively or the way it’s intended to use the app. Let alone you have to pay a repairman to fix the service that is a non customer issue. STAY AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS PROVIDER IF YOU CAN. THEY WILL TAKE YOU FOR ALL THEY CAN AND GIVE YOU POOR SERVICES IN RETURN.
Works perfectly if you have 1gb speed.
You get what you pay for. Current technology has its limits. The more devices you connect, the more it splits the WiFi signal.
