What's New in Version 1.4
Fixed the icon for retina display and other small bits of love. Coming soon - synch with the iPhone version!
Thanks for getting Gratitude!
All bugs are fixed - this app is a gem
I almost didn't buy this app because of the reviews below that mentioned dropped text, text not aligned to the lines on the paper, and other such problems. I also noted a typo in the screenshots and wasn't sure about having to see that each time. However, every single one of those issues seems to have been fixed. When you change the fonts to your liking, the lines change to match. I have not experienced any dropped text, at least so far. And even the typo that I found so distracting has been fixed. (Note to developers: You might consider changing the screenshot so people aren't put off by that.) This is definitely one of those smoothly designed apps that just looks and feels good, which is very much in line with the gratitude theme. Very happy with my purchase.
Original better but won't work in iOS 8
I paid for this upgraded version and feel ripped off. I can't import from my old version AND I can't open or write entries in old version because in iOS 8 the last free version (5.0) of the app simply crashes (closes) - no explanation.
The newer gratitude Pro version - which you pay for, albeit a nominal $3, lacks the simplicity of the original adding visual garbage that I feel interferes with what was so perfect in the old version: pop it open, tap write and a full page sits waiting for you and it each entry was numbered. Simple. Done with your entries and it flips to a usually great quote.
New version is cluttered & sticks everything on a screen that is split to give the appearance of a physical journal opened on its spine. It sticks hearts at the beginning of each entry and no numbers and if there is a way to change that I have not found it. There is an option to export but none for import - leaving me with a years worth of entries in the old version that I cannot access.
I bought the app for the iPhone and love it. I thought the iPad one would be even better. I am sincerely disappointed. It's not even remotely as good. Different fonts, line problems, dropped text, and doesn't sync between devices. I thought with a $3 price tag this app would show and prove.... And it just plain failed.
I do love the iPhone app. And it's only $0.99...which truthfully this iPad app should be as well. Oh well. Carla, I guess you get to keep my money for this one. Hope you at least update this app sometime soon to warrant the $3 bucks I spent for it.
