It's about time! Big fish has released three games in the last few days and of all three this one is far superior to the others. You are actually allowed to think in this game. I hated the the videos in the 13th skull game, it was glitchy and you were not allowed to think for yourself. Brunhilda had no glitches and some how was addictive but so very monotonous. you did not have to think at all just basically find whatever was requested of you. I left both of the previous games unfinished to play this one. Ill go back to others when I am desperate. This game let's you think for yourself for the most part. I am in the hard mode and have found the first two rings or basically competed the first two chapters. there are five in all plus a bonus section. I can pick up items as I see them even if they aren't needed yet. I do not have to solve things in any specific order other than I cant go on to the next chapter until the first is finished. hidden object scenes are not overdone and the puzzles are not too hard. I actually wish the game was a little harder but it's the best game in a long time. You do get a strategy guide but I have not used it. I think the hints are very good and that's all I've used so far. I do think it's priced to high but considering the other games offered and their prices, this game is by far the best.
Game was ok. Enjoyed playing for the most part. However some of the HOS were so dark that they were very difficult. I enjoy a challenge but on these I felt you didn't have a fighting chance to find all objects without using the hint, which I don't like to do. Also some of the puzzles were so frustrating to the point of being annoying and I found myself skipping it, just to get rid of the game and go on. Ex: the one that you had to use the curser to move the faces in the star. The flow of the curser was terrible, as soon as you place some of the faces, you found that they were back in the same place as before. I love the puzzles in these games, and had done 75 without skipping until I came to some of these. Frustrating not challenging! I went ahead and gave 5 stars because I would like to see a sequel, I think the writers are on the right track to making a real fun, challenging game, if they would look at the "processes" of solving the puzzles. Hope that makes sense.
Fun, lots of variety
I enjoyed this game because of the variety of puzzles. There is more than one type of hidden object game, some are the standard list, in others you have find matching objects. There are also other types of puzzles to mix it up. The task list is helpful to remind you where something was located or what you are supposed to do with an inventory item. The hint button recharges at a decent rate and will tell you if there's nothing to do at your location if you need to move to a different area. The storyline is creepy (fun creepy) without being one of those super disturbing creepy plots. The only frustration I have is that the inventory doesn't identify items when you click on them. I picked up an item in an earlier room and couldn't tell what it was. It looked like a lever or a scepter but I couldn't tell because the inventory didn't give it a name when I clicked on it. When I got to where I was needed, it took some time to figure out what I was supposed to do. Other than that, fun game!
