The GRE Flash Cards App HD now comes with reminders and a learning plan to select how many words you want to learn per day. With notification badges that indicate the remaining words you need to learn, you are sure to keep up with your learning plan.
The GRE Flash Cards App HD provides the most comprehensive word list with the most required words to ace any competitive exam! With over 1800 words, their meanings, synonyms and examples of usage, this is the most comprehensive reference word list in the app store.
Words are grouped together in easy to view categories. Word Lists are further organized by alphabet and then by their read / unread status. You can mark a word as favorite for quick reference at a later date.
Learn words in the popular “flashcards vocabulary learning” method. The meaning of the word will appear only after you "turn the card over”. Use the search to find a particular flashcard quickly. Words are marked as read and unread so that you can start from the last unread word when you return to a particular word list.
A quick, effortless test ensures that you have actually learned all the words in the list by asking you the closest meaning of a given word. Words and their meanings are shown in “Review Mode” once you finish answering a question.
The Progress Report allows for an at-a-glance view of your progress for the word list.
See how many words you have reviewed, how many words remain and how many you got right in the tests.

Smoother interactions & Bug fixes
Great for a Good Laugh, Not for GRE Prep
Whoever compiled the content for this app was either stoned or stupid. At times, the definition, synonym(s), and example of a word each refer to a different meaning of the word (e.g., the app defines "buffet" as an attack or blow, then its example refers to an all-you-can-eat restaurant). Other times, the examples don't even make sense, as if some algorithm ran a Google search for instances of a word and randomly pulled a sentence from an online forum posting (e.g., the example for "dapper" is a tech support query pertaining to the software program Dapper). If so little care was given to providing context for words, what does that suggest about the care given to providing their definitions? In the test section, the answers may barely be analogous to the words in question (e.g., the options for "cosmic" are "hence," "deafening," and "lawlessness," with the so-called correct answer being "hence"). Bottom line: This app isn't going to do much to help you prepare for the GRE.
I be getting smart when's I used these app
The idea of this app is great, however the content falls short of being helpful. The definitions consistently have errors in them or use a different part of speech to define the word (ie. the definition of proselyte is proselytize). On several of the words, the matching word does not make sense. Finally the examples given for the words are anything but helpful.
The app may be helpful but do not rely on it alone, you will definitely need a dictionary nearby to verify the accuracy of the words.
Excellent program for every one!
The app is easy to use, and I've learned 300 words in 30 days. The quiz feature is excellent and you can store words you want to continue reviewing as favorites. This is a great app for students or any professional.
