App works as advertised.
Need a quick charge. My ChargePoint app directed me to a location with type 2 and type 3 chargers. Type 3 was managed by another company (Greenlots). Didn’t have an account so I downloaded app, signed up for account, uploaded credit card info in 2 minutes. My i3 was fully charged in about 20 minutes. Everything worked as advertised with no problems.
Dropped by the Tejon Pass Outlets yesterday on my way back to SF. Was excited to see EV chargers readily available in the parking lot. Thought that I’d easily be able to charge up my Tesla while I took an hour or so to shop around the mall.
Downloaded the app and purchased $25 worth of credit. And proceeded to plug in my vehicle. To my disappointment I got a network error message and was unable to get the car charging. Tried several different stations and ended up with the exact same message. There was a Greenlots rep there who attempted to assist but was unable to fix the problem.
Ironically, there was a tv film crew there doing a piece on EV charging and wanted to use my vehicle as an example of the convenience of having the chargers at the Outlet. Not exactly the impression you want to leave...
I’ve emailed to company asking for a refund of my $25. I have yet to hear back.
Not impressed and wholly dissapointed. So much for convenience... 😠
No humans available
I tried 3 times on separate days to install this app to be able to use one of their charging stations. It had an error each time so I couldn’t charge. I tried to reach a person to assist through the signing up process. No response in 2 weeks. Lame. Don’t bother with these people. It is a waste they have their equipment Sitting at places thinking you could charge, then they don’t actually work. Shame on the business also who allow these stations to be placed on their property then not even work.
