Unbelievable. Warning.

BEWARE: A kitten is thrown out of a third story tower window. Jettisoned.

You see its fall. You see its crash. When it's found, it's crying and covered in broken glass. This is unconscionable, heinous, inexcusable.

In one scene the "cute" dachshund has a tail, in the next he doesn't. Yeah, I'm an animal person - but I don't go into things with an attitude. I know fantasy and story-lines for what they are. Like in "Fierce Tales, a Dog's Heart", folks were upset when the family dog was kidnapped. I was unphased. It was a story-line. But not this violence. No.

I don't care how good the artwork, music, operating systems, writing, cutscenes, ingenuity or the creative process is. Violence against children or animals is NEVER justifiable or excusable. Anytime. Anywhere.

Badly done, Big Fish. Very badly done. (And this is from a faithful follower who has loved you for years).

And, incidentally, it took me 3 restarts to get the head to fall off the drag queen scarecrow so I could progress to the animal abuse scene. I intend to address this through BF's business office to request a refund for offensive content.

And if I'm wrong about this I'll be happy to hear rebuttal.

MJG (Interesting, this review won't go into the system to be published).

Approach with Caution

This looks to be a fairly-well designed game with good graphics. Some of the scenes are quite pretty.

I only played through the demo portion, but I have reservations about buying it even on sale. So far, the puzzles seem fairly easy, and it's mostly hidden object, so if that's your cup of tea… But, the brevity of the demo portion makes me suspect that this is a short game.

I didn't encounter any technical difficulties, but I did notice that when you're applying an inventory item to a scene, it can be difficult to find the right spot. (Ignore the logical point of contact and apply the center of the inventory item to the center of the object/area.) When you know what item goes where, this difficulty is an annoyance; when you're searching for what to do next, it can lead you to miss solutions.

Still, if the game is of a comparable length to most adventure games, it should be well worth the sale price at least.

Terrible ending and Broken Bonus game

As always from ERS Studios, the art and gameplay were great. However, the storyline was terribly confusing and the game ended extremely abruptly, with almost no explanation of what was happening. The bonus game almost seems like it was supposed to be the real ending, but they had to have a bonus so they cut the game in half to be able to sell you "bonus content".

Because of this, the bonus game is well fleshed out, feeling more like the real game than a lot of bonuses do. However, one of the HOS games has a major glitch. Behind the old house, there's a scene where you're supposed to get a relay switch. However, the game thinks I'm done with the HOS and won't let me click anything else, but I haven't yet clicked the "fly tile" so the game isn't over. It won't give me the switch because of this, and I can't move on any farther.

Please fix this bug!! The hints say I've finished with the area, but I haven't gotten the reward for the HOS. Help!
